Overview
Ballistae are a type of ranged weapon that can be created after Monkey Madness II with materials dropped by tortured or demonic gorillas . Like bows , they are two-handed weapons with ranged strength dependent on the type of ammunition used, except ballistae use javelins with a higher ranged strength bonus as ammunition and have an attack speed one tick slower than crossbows . The light ballista and heavy ballista require Ranged levels of 65 and 75 respectively in order to be wielded. The light ballista and heavy ballista share the same attack speed, range, and special attack , with the main differences between the two being that the heavy ballista has a higher ranged accuracy and provides an extra ranged strength bonus added to that of the type of javelin ammunition used.
